Glutamine is often called L-glutamine.  About 60% of the amino acids in our muscle mass are L-glutamine.  It is obtained by the reaction of glutamic acid and ammonia.  It is considered a conditionally essential amino acid found naturally in protein-rich foods such as fish, red meat, beans, and dairy products. 

Glutamine is very important for the proper functioning of the body – for the functioning of the brain and the immune system.  Athletes claim that increased intake of the amino acid L-glutamine helps them avoid colds. To maintain the function of the intestinal mucosa, the use of glutamine is of great benefit. It contributes to the stabilization of the immune system.

It is an essential supplement for strength sports and sports that require more endurance.  We recommend using it for muscle spasms and rheumatic pains. The amount of lean muscle mass in humans is proportional to the rate of metabolism.  Therefore, if we want to increase muscle mass and reduce fat tissue at the same time we should also increase the intake of glutamine.

Glutamine plays an important role in many biochemical functions in the body:

Glutamine is one of the most important amino acids when it comes to shortening the recovery period. They feel better physically, they are less tired and have more strength, and muscle inflammation is reduced.

Our body can only produce a certain amount of glutamine that is necessary, but glutamine’s need increases when the body is under stress. Hard training is also a type of stress for the body.  In order to reach glutamine the body will reduce the amount of muscle tissue. This lead to the occurrence of catabolism, that is the breakdown of muscles. It’s the main reason that glutamine is important as a nutritional supplement for athletes. Especially during intense training when the body can be exhausted, and the reserves of amino acids as well.

Multiple studies have shown that taking 2 grams per day of the amino acid L-Glutamine as a supplement increases the level of growth hormone by 400%. But the older age group of 30-50 use it as a growth hormone stimulator in order to rejuvenate. Children who have a “slightly” reduced secretion of this hormone can also use it.

Method of use

During hard training, 10-20 gr daily to ensure the needs of the body.
