Avoid stress. During stress, the body secretes the hormone cortisol, which slows down the metabolism. Being in a good mood and laughing burns calories and speeds up your metabolism. The more you laugh, the better your metabolism works.
Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep causes fatigue, so the body will have reduced functionality. As a result of fatigue, the body will use less energy and slow down the metabolism.
The best way to speed up your metabolism is to build muscle. A body that has more muscles consumes more energy, that is, it has a faster metabolism.
Change your diet and eat healthier. Avoid strict diets. By starving, you slow down your metabolism. It is enough to monitor your diet and how many calories you consume. Then compare them to the number of calories you should be eating based on your age and activity level.
Avoid dinner because the body is resting and digestion is slower. As a result, fat deposits accumulate. But don’t skip breakfast and eat several smaller meals throughout the day, because that way your metabolism works all day.
