THE BEST TIME TO EXERCISE

Research has shown that the time of day you choose to exercise can affect your exercise performance in a variety of ways.  Here’s how to determine what’s best for you.

Morning workouts

The hormonal composition of the body in the morning is set in such a way that it is ideal for weight loss.  Exercising in the morning, especially on an empty stomach, is the best way to burn stored fat.
Humans naturally have elevated levels of cortisol and growth hormone in the morning.  Both are involved in metabolism, so you will draw energy from fat stores.  It can help with weight loss. Since exercise is a great stress reliever, morning sweats can lead to better mental health and productivity throughout the day.  But if you really aren’t a morning person, don’t force yourself.
If you want to lose weight, exercise before breakfast.  Research shows that people who run before breakfast burn up to 20 percent more calories than those who eat first thing after waking up.

Afternoon workouts

Morning workouts are ideal for burning fat and losing weight. But if we practice in the afternoon, you will have already consumed one or two meals. Every time you eat, your blood sugar level rises.  This results in better performance, i.e. you can work with greater intensity.
Night workouts still come with perks

Some research shows that night training over time can also reduce the level of the hormone ghrelin. Ghrelin stimulates hunger, which can help with weight loss or management.  Also, night training does not disturb sleep.
Therefore, if you have insomnia, postpone the exercise until the end of the day, but earlier in the evening. To avoid sleeping pills it is best to choose yoga or pilates.
But intense workouts right before bed can be problematic, as vigorous exercise less than an hour before bed can increase arousal. It will delay sleep or impair the quality of sleep. So try to exercise early in the evening to give your body enough time to relax before bed.

From all that has been said, the conclusion can be drawn that
-it is best to exercise in the morning if you want to lose weight,
– if you want to exercise with greater intensity, it is best to exercise in the afternoon
– if you have a problem with insomnia, we should practice in the evening, preferably yoga or pilates, or if it is an intensive training, earlier in the evening.

Because exercise reduces stress, it’s good to practice before a stressful meeting.
It is good to mention here that people suffering from allergies should not exercise in the morning, as this will increase the symptoms of the disease.  It is also better to exercise indoors than outside.
However, there is never a bad time to exercise.
