You need squats, jumping squats, lunges, and jumping lunges to strengthen your legs. And practice on each leg with exercises. Doing plank and side plank will be good to strengthen your muscles equally.

Snowboard construction

The modern snowboard resembles a large skateboard without wheels to which the rider’s feet are attached with bindings. The average board size is 5 feet (1.5 meters) in length and 10 inches (25 cm) in width. But the size and shape of the snowboard vary depending on the purpose and size of the snowboarder.

Styles of snowboarding

In general, there are three main styles of snowboarding: freestyle, free-riding, and alpine (or free-carving).

Freestyle has its roots in skateboarding. Freestyle snowboarders can be often found lapping the park, where they show off their jumps, slides, and presses. From riding through the half pipe, hitting rails, catching airs, buttering the piste, to nailing the jumps and jibs, everything can be counted as one peculiar stunt of freestyle riding. Every spin, jib, or jump you perform can be classified as freestyle.

Free-ride is a style in which a snowboarder rides with no agenda. Free-ride snowboarding is a style that is focused on riding in natural terrain. Free-ride snowboarding includes almost everything from cruising down the groomed trails to taking over off-piste. They maneuver their board over natural obstacles such as chutes, cliffs, and trees.

Alpine snowboarding revolves around speed and carving. Recreational alpine snowboarders can often be found on freshly groomed slopes, where they perform radical carves at high speeds. An alpine snowboard is narrow and directionally shaped.

Depending on your interests and your skills, you will find out what your snowboarding style is. So, you will have to choose the necessary equipment. Snowboards and boots are different depending on your style.
